  • Travel to Materuni Village: You’ll travel to Materuni village, located on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. The drive itself often provides scenic views.

    • You’ll participate in a traditional Chagga coffee tour. This involves learning about the entire coffee-making process, from bean to cup.
    • You’ll get to see how coffee is grown, harvested, dried, roasted, and ground.
    • Often, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in the grinding process, accompanied by traditional Chagga songs and dances.
    • Finally, you’ll enjoy a cup of freshly brewed local coffee.
      
      
  • Hike to Materuni Waterfalls:
    • After the coffee tour, you’ll embark on a hike to Materuni Waterfalls. The hike typically takes around 30-45 minutes, depending on the pace and trail conditions.
    • The trail winds through lush landscapes, including banana and coffee plantations.
    • Upon reaching the waterfalls, you’ll be able to admire the impressive cascade and, if you wish, take a refreshing swim in the natural pool at its base.
