Avoid Fatigue on Mt. Kilimanjaro

TIPS ABOUT AVOIDING FATIGUE DURING A MOUNT KILIMANJARO CLIMBING SAFARI IN TANZANIA

People always get tired because of the energy involved during Mount Kilimanjaro climbing, there are so many ways you can avoid or reduce on the fatigue during a Mount Kilimanjaro climbing safari in Tanzania:

BE PHYSICALLY PREPARED FOR THE JOURNEY

Mount climbing is not like a wildlife safari which does not require a lot of physical preparation. During a wildlife safari, all you do is to sit in a safari car and you are driven within the park while spotting various species of animals. The challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro requires some bit of physical preparations. There is nothing like a car to drive you up the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, all you have to do is to walk/climb until you reach the summit. This is more tasking and any great task requires some good energy levels. For this reason, always be physically prepared for Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing and I believe that once you do, you shall not experience too much fatigue than someone who never made those simple physical preparations.

CHOOSE A CLIMBING ROUTE ACCORDING TO YOUR EXPERIENCE LEVELS

One thing about Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing that is so exceptional is that there are climbing routes for all sorts of climbers. It is always advised to choose a climbing route which is not so much tasking if you are novice climber and for those who are experienced climbers, you can always choose any route which reflects your ambitions and goals. Don’t choose a route which shall cause a lot of fatigue for you, choose a route where you are assured of reaching the summit with little fatigue.

CHOOSE THE BEST ITINERARY

There is a difference between choosing a route and an itinerary. Depending on the tour company, there are always designed itineraries that cater for the needs of their tourists. A tour operator can design an itinerary depending on several factors. One good thing about Mount Kilimanjaro climbing is that most of the itineraries are uniform. There are little changes however you should be capable of choosing the best itinerary. After choosing a particular climbing route, you shall find that there are varying itineraries for the same route. Each itinerary could have its own promises. For example, you could find an itinerary which only takes 6 days to reach the summit while the other was designed to take 7 days. If you have the resources, it is always advisable to go for a longer itinerary because the fatigue levels are always less compared to those that take less days.

BE MENTALLY READY FOR THE JOURNEY

Mental strength is very vital to eliminate most of the fatigue. A lot of people get mental fatigue as they try to climb to places of high acclimatization. It is always advisable to take some drugs or be mentally ready to face such challenges in order to avoid and reduce of such mental fatigues. There are so many other things that you can do to avoid fatigue when climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, apply them and you shall surely have a smooth journey.
