Your trekking company will provide most of the camping gear, but it’s a good idea to bring your own personal items like a sleeping bag and liner. Be patient: Acclimatization is a slow process. Don’t try to go too fast, or you’ll increase your chances of getting altitude sickness. Take your time and enjoy the journey.
Drink plenty of fluids: Staying hydrated is essential at altitude. Aim to drink at least 3-4 liters of water per day.

Listen to your body: If you start to feel any symptoms of altitude sickness, descend immediately. There’s no shame in turning back. Your safety is the most important thing.

When to climb Mount Kilimanjaro
The dry seasons (December to March and June to October) are the best times to climb Kilimanjaro. These months offer clearer skies and less chance of rain or snow and the best chance of good weather on the summit day.
