Tarangire National Park.
Tarangire National Park has some of the highest population density of elephants as compared to anywhere in Tanzania and its sparse vegetation, strewn with baobab and acacia trees, makes it a beautiful and distinctive location to visit.
Located just a few hours drive from the town of Arusha, Tarangire is a popular stop for people travelling through the northern safari circuit on their way to Ngorongoro and the Serengeti. The park extends into two game controlled areas and the wildlife is allowed to move freely throughout.

Serengeti National Park.
The Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value, it has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa.
The Park can be divided into 3 sections:
The popular southern /central part (Seronera Valley), is what the Maasai called the “serengit”, the land of endless plains. It’s classic savannah, dotted with acacias and filled with wildlife.
The western corridor is marked by the Grumeti River, and has more forests and dense bush.
The north, Lobo area, meets up with Kenya’s Masai Mara Reserve, is the least visited section.

Ngorongoro Crater.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area spans vast expanses of highland plains, savanna, savanna woodlands and forests.
Established in 1959 as a multiple land use area, with wildlife coexisting with semi-nomadic Maasai pastoralists practicing traditional livestock grazing, it includes the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest caldera.

Itinerary For Northern Tanzania Safari 8 Days
Day 1. Your arrival at Arusha or Moshi.
You will arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and will be met by a member of the Kilimanjaro Bound Team and transfered to your hotel or lodge Arusha or Moshi.
The rest of the day is free to relax, recover from your flight and prepare to start your Tarangire National Park Safari 3 Days early the next morning.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park.
After breakfast we depart for Tarangire National Park, for some incredible game viewing. Tarangire is a small park which offers some excellent sights of the Tanzanian wildlife.
During the dry season, Tarangire National Park comes alive as incredibly varied wildlife and bird life congregate on the Tarangire River. The only permanent source of water in Tarangire National Park.
We will retire for the night at a beautiful lodge that is set inside the park and has stunning views and a unique atmosphere.
Day 3: The Serengeti National Park.
After a relaxing breakfast, we depart to the Serengeti National Park. Whilst travelling to Serengeti we will stop at Olduvai Gorge. It is within this steep sided ravine that Louis and Mary Leakey made some of the world’s most important archaeological discoveries in the 1950s.
There is a small museum where you will see evidence of our ancestors that have been dated back 2.5 million years.
After lunch we drive into the Serengeti itself and the rest of the afternoon is spent game viewing in the vast plains that are broken only by stands of acacia trees and the occasional Kopje.
In December, January and February we will normally meet the migration of the wildebeest, zebra and gazelle.
There are always plenty of resident animals, such as giraffe, buffalo, elephant and many large predators such as lion, cheetah and leopard.
We will spend this night within Serengeti National Park either in a lodge or on one of the campsites.
Day 4. Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area.
We start the day with an early morning game drive before heading out of Serengeti National Park and heading into The Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Ngorongoro Crater is a special place because it is a Conservation Area, not a National Park. This means that the whole area is managed for both the animals and the local Masai people who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous wildlife.
During the drive in Ngorongoro we have a chance to glimpse something of the Masai way of life. At the Ngorongoro Crater National Park, there is a chance to learn more about this fascinating volcanic landscape and the animals and people that live there.
We will drive around the rim of the Crater itself, and from here we can look down and see the huge herds of wildebeest or buffalo.
Finally we descend into the crater. The crater walls provide a natural sanctuary for the animals, which means there is plenty to see: lions, elephants, buffalo, rhino and leopard (if you are lucky). The only animal you won’t see in here is a giraffe, whose long legs are unable to cope with the steep sides of the crater.
In the late afternoon we travel Arusha and get you booked into your hotel or lodge.
